The Beer Store is offering up their shelves to the little guy.
The major corporation says ownership is being opened up to all Ontario-based brewers large and small.
Locally, Sleeping Giant Brewing Company General Manager Matt Pearson says to list one of their beers in the past it would have cost them around 30-thousand dollars but the new plan makes it more affordable.
Pearson says if they sign up they don’t have to pay a listing fee when stocking two of their products at the five Beer Store locations closest to their brewery. Any listings at any other beer stores would have reduced fees.
Pearson says it’s too early to say if they’ll join the beer store but it’s positive news.
