A woman is in hospital, her condition not known at this time following a house fire on Banning Street.
When Thunder Bay fire fighters arrived at the scene yesterday, they found the woman on the opposite side of the street.
Two men were helping her, whom she had waved down.
Fire fighters found the blaze in a mattress in a main floor bedroom and put it out, keeping it contained to the main floor.
The exact cause hasn’t been given yet.
There was heat and smoke damage throughout the house.
