Back to school and your child’s BACKPACK!

With the ‘back to school’ rush on – have you thought of your child’s backpack?

It’s something that many parents take for granted. Every year the conversation comes up regarding the weight / contents of the backpack.

The rule of thumb is: it shouldn’t weigh no more than 10 pounds of their bodyweight. Example: if a child weighs 130 pounds, the backpack should weigh no more than 13 pounds. AND, do a weekly ‘clean out’ of their backpack. You never know what might be in there.

Here’s a great article that I think will be very helpful for your child’s return to school.
