Looking For More Back To School Guidelines

Guidance on how school will look this year but one local educator is looking for further instruction.

The province released the back to school plan earlier this month but Andrew Foulds feels there are still some unanswered questions.

“There does appear to be announcements from the provincial government about vaccination and vaccination rates,” explains the biology teacher at Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute. “There’s certainly statements from my federation about what it supports and that is vaccinations. The board of education needs to chew on that and fully understand what is being directed, and I’m hopeful that the board gets the information in the hands of teachers as soon as possible.”

The plan means students will be in class five days a week, unless they opt for virtual learning.

Masks will also be required when inside schools.
