Drug Trafficking Charges For Kitchener Man

Thunder Bay Police have arrested a Kitchener man on charges related to Fentanyl trafficking.

On Friday just after 9 a.m., officers investigated reports of a suspected home takeover at an apartment on Cameron Street between Simpson and McKenzie Streets.

They had also gotten reports of a resident possibly being held against their will.

When police arrived, they saw something they later identified as suspected Fentanyl being thrown out of the apartment’s window.

They found a man inside the apartment, along with nearly $8,800 in cash and items consistent with drug trafficking.

Police seized the cash and drugs, estimating that the potential street value of the suspected Fentanyl totals more than $13,500.

Officers arrested the 20-year-old suspect, who appeared in bail court on Saturday, and is now back in custody until his next court appearance.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
