Sometimes we forget how many great people live in Thunder Bay. After 12 hours on the air for Christmas Cheer it was obvious to those at the CLE on Monday how much people care about the less fortunate in our city.
Thanks to you there is $42,500.00 in the Christmas Cheer fund and a lot more food and toys ready to be picked up. It was incredible watching the hundereds of school kids sort the donations. As we packed up last night the Girl Guides were just arriving to continue to help the organizers get ready for the week ahead.
Thank to the 12 partners that stepped up to sponsor our broadcast and raised over $13,000 for this historic charity.
We will never truly know the impact of the day but we can all take a moment on Christmas morning to smile and know that a lot of other families are also having a well deserved celebration.
