$150k in illegal drugs seized after man found asleep in vehicle: Police

A 49-year-old Brampton man is facing drug trafficking charges after police say they found him asleep in a running vehicle.

According to police, an officer found the man asleep in the driver’s seat in the Picton Avenue and Butcher Crescent area and conducted a search of his car.

Officials say they located and seized over 115 grams of suspected fentanyl and over 587 grams of suspected crack cocaine with a total street worth of around $150,000.

The man faces possession charges of cocaine and opioids.

He was remanded into custody following his first court appearance.
