A dense fog advisory is in effect for areas near Lake Superior, including Thunder Bay.
Environment Canada says the fog developed early this morning and is causing near-zero visibility in some locations.
Meteorologists say travel could be hazardous, especially along the shoreline and low-lying areas.
Conditions are expected to improve later this morning, but drivers are urged to slow down, allow extra time and be prepared for rapidly changing visibility.
