NAPS seize large haul of drugs in Marten Falls

The Nishnawbe Aski Police say they have seized over $100,000 worth of illegal drugs in a bust this week on the Marten Falls First Nation.

Police say they executed a search warrant on a residence on Lagoon Road on Tuesday.

Two people have been arrested.

Police say they found a quantity of crack cocaine, magic mushrooms, crystal meth, cash and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.

A 32-year-old woman from Marten Falls and a 33-year-old man from Geraldton each face three counts of drugs trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under 5 thousand dollars.

They’ve each been released from custody, and one of the conditions of the man’s release is that he not visit Marten Falls.
