Four more forest fires in the northwest region

The forest fire hazard is starting to inch up again, and with hot temperatures expected over the next couple of days, the MNR is on high alert.

Most of the northwest region is in the high range, with a pocket of extreme in the Fort Frances area.

Yesterday, there were four new forest fires.

One in the Kenora and Dryden Districts and two in the Thunder Bay area.

The Dryden fire 4 kilometres southeast of Gordon Lake and the Thunder Bay fire about 9 kilometres north of Highway 11 near Drift Lake, are not under control.
