Roy Joseph Diana

August 18, 1943 – May 23, 2026
Roy Joseph Diana, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Fort William to Gilberto and Rose Diana, Roy built a life centered on hard work, family, and adventure. He began a long career on the waterfront in 1963, becoming a proud member of the Thunder Bay Grain Trimmers in 1975. He retired in 2013 after 50 years of dedicated service on the waterfront.

On August 6, 1966, Roy married the love of his life, Simone Allard and together they shared 59+ wonderful years of marriage. They raised two daughters, Jennifer and Joelle, and created countless cherished memories in their family home he built on Government Road.

Roy enjoyed hobby farming, renovating homes, travelling, cruising, attending country concerts, and spending winters in the sunny south. He especially loved supporting his daughters at horse shows. One of his greatest joys was time spent with his three grandchildren, Travis, Madison, and Juliet.

Despite many health challenges, Roy continued to live life fully and treasured every moment with family and friends.

He was a faithful parishioner of Corpus Christi Parish and had a special devotion to St. Jude.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Simone; daughters Jennifer Fisher and Joelle (John) Macey; grandchildren Madison (Dalton)and Juliet; brother Guy (Leslie); sisters Norma (Danny) Barro and Mary; his faithful companions Kassie and Princess, and many extended family members and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, his Mother and Father in-law Bud and Jane Burnell, sister and brother in law Jack and Eloise Kingswood, brothers in law Buster and Art Burnell, Grandson Travis Giertuga and son in law, Lewis Fisher.
