It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Brendan Ball, who left us far too soon at the age of 36 while away at work on May 16, 2026. . At this time, a cause of death has not yet been determined.
Brendan was a man of deep faith, immense warmth, and a generous spirit. Known to many as a local worship leader, he used his musical gifts and his guitar to bring people together, uplift spirits, and share his love for his community. When he wasn’t playing music, Brendan was happiest spending time with his family, or being out on the water casting a line with his boys.
Brendan’s greatest joy and proudest achievement was his family. He was a deeply devoted father whose favorite moments were simply those spent surrounded by his kids, sharing in their lives, and guiding them with his gentle strength.
Brendan leaves behind his heartbroken wife, Nadine, a dedicated Educational Assistant (EA) who pours her heart into supporting children within the school district, and his beloved children, Emerich, Jackson, Adelaide and Joseph. Emerich is well-known to neighbors as a dedicated local paperboy in Thunder Bay. Brendan will be missed beyond measure by his family, his church community, and all who were blessed to know him.
Because Brendan’s passing was entirely unexpected and occurred while away for work, the family is facing this immense tragedy without the safety net of life insurance. In lieu of flowers, a community fund has been established to support Nadine and the children as they navigate the difficult practical and emotional road ahead. Donations can be made to the family’s GoFundMe campaign https://gofund.me/5f29041b6.
A service to celebrate Brendan’s life will be announced at a later date. The family deeply appreciates the overwhelming outpouring of love, prayers, and support from the community during this unimaginably difficult time.
