Ron McCollum

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ron McCollum on April 22, 2026, due to complications
from a stroke.

Ron will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Lorna; his beloved and much cherished daughter, Montana; his loyal
companion, Kokomo; his brother, Redge (Carol); and his nieces and nephew, Lori, Joanne, and Terry.
Ron was a journeyman electrician for many years, a career he took great pride in, known for his strong work ethic
and steady hands.

In his free time, Ron was an avid fisherman who truly loved being out on the water.  He cherished time spent in
Obonga, as well as time with family on Nipigon Bay and Lake Superior, where he found peace, quiet, and some of his
happiest moments.

Ron was known for his stubborn nature, his gift for storytelling, and his quick sense of humor.  Whether sharing
a story or a joke, he had a way of bringing people together and leaving them smiling.

He will be remembered as a devoted family man, a loyal friend to many, and someone who was deeply loved by all
who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to friends and family for all their love, kindness, and
support during this difficult time.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at a later date when the weather is warm.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
