Kari Lorrie Dorrance

June 3, 1986 – February 21, 2026

Kari Lorrie Dorrrance, age 39 years, passed away on February 21, 2026 at TBRHSC, with her family and close friends by her side. Everyone that came alongside us during this tragic event, commented on Kari’s heart of gold and how she would help anyone in need. In true fashion to who she was, she had signed her donor card so she could continue to help others even in her own death.

Kari was born on June 3, 1986 at Port Arthur General Hospital in Thunder Bay, Ontario. She was raised on farm life from birth to highschool years in Murillo, Ontario. She attended Thunder Bay Christian School, FWCI and Everest College, where she received a degree in Medical Assistance, and worked in various capacities in the medical field.

Kari is survived by her husband Justin Roberts, four children: Olivia Dorrance, Holland, Tripp and Messer Roberts; as well as her mother Nancy Dorrance, siblings James, Elizabeth and Jonathon Dorrance, grandmother Joyce (Russ) Dubray, mother-in-law, Diane Roberts, father-in-law Doug (Sandy) Roberts, brothers-in-law Steve (Bob) Roberts, Jeremy (Dana) Roberts, and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her father James Dorrance, grandfather Howard Lanktree, grandmother Myrna Dorrance, and grandfather James (Chris) Dorrance.

A special thankyou to Mellissa Powell and Emily who travelled from Newfoundland to be with us during this time. The family would also like to thank paramedics, the doctors, and nurses in ICU, as well as Dr. Landell in the emergency department of TBRHSC.

A private family service will take place at a later date.
