Trailer fire claims 2 on Fort William First Nation

Two people have died in a fire on Fort William First Nation.

Members of the Thunder Bay Fire Rescue were called to the scene at 3:00 a.m. Saturday, to find a recreational travel trailer fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within a short time.

A search of the trailer led to the discovery of the two individuals.

Their names have not been released.

The scene is now being investigated by the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service.

The Ontario Fire Marshall has also been notified.
