The Sachigo Lake First Nation is the latest community to get an Emergency First Reponse Team.
It will help provide immediate medical support in urgent situations.
The team will be comprised of paid, trained first responders.
They will be equipped with essential medical equipment and a patient transport vehicle.
The unit will ensure that medical help is available before professional medical services arrive.
Ornge air ambulance will oversee the program.
