Lakehead Thunderwolves men’s head basketball coach has been recognized by Ontario University Athletics (OUA).
Ryan Thomson has won coach of the year.
Thomson led the team to the top spot in the OUA Central Division with an 18-4 record, the program’s second-best single-season record of all time.
He is a former Lakehead player himself, joining the team in 2010.
He wasn’t the only Thunderwolf on the men’s basketball team to be acknowledged either.
Nathan Bilamu was selected as a First Team All-Star while Harold Santacruz was selected to the Second Team.
