One person injured in encampment fire in Freedom Park

One person was treated for injuries in an encampment fire in Freedom Park.

Fire recuse was sent to the scene around 5:00 a.m. on Monday.

Firefighters were able to quickly put the flames out but not before they consumed a tent.

One person was sent to a hospital for treatment.

Police attended the scene and fire inspection has been notified.

Fire rescue is reminding residents that extreme caution should be used when using heat sources around tents.
