St. Joseph’s Hospital is getting some infrastructure upgrades.
“Our government is taking action to ensure that families in Thunder Bay – Atikokan can access the high-quality care they need, close to home,“ said the MPP for Thunder Bay – Atikokan, Kevin Holland.
“This $17 million investment to upgrade the air handling system at St. Joseph’s Hospital will modernize the facility, improving air quality and creating a safer, more comfortable environment for both patients and staff. Infrastructure upgrades like this will help our health care system remain strong and reliable for the people of our region.”
Roughly 4,000 square feet of space will be renovated and four air handling units will be replaced.
These upgrades will ensure the hospital is better equipped to provide comfortable and convenient care.
The Ministry of Health is working with the hospital on the next steps for the project including future planning.
