Thunder Bay Officers Recognized For Bravery

Four members of Thunder Bay Police Service (TBPS) are recognized for bravery.

Constables Brian Gilbert and Brooke Pilley were applauded Friday for their efforts during a water rescue incident on September 17th, 2017.

Just days later (September 30th), Constables James Lorentz and Marshall Moore were involved in another water rescue.

The Ontario Medal for Police Bravery was created in 1975 and is awarded annually to honour police officers who have gone above and beyond to protect and serve their community.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
