Ontario Reports Another Day Of 700+ Cases

The province is reporting a drop in daily COVID-19 cases, though the tally is staying relatively high.

On Saturday Ontario had 728 new cases of the virus, with 441 coming from people who are unvaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status. 287 of the infections are in individuals with two Health Canada approved COVID-19 vaccines.

At the time of this report there are 283 people hospitalized with the virus, with about 76 per cent of them not being fully vaccinated.

In terms of vaccinations, 88.9 per cent of Ontarians have at least one dose while 85.9 per cent have two.

Five more deaths were recorded Saturday as a result of COVID-19.
