Bump Up In The Active Case Count

Add another seven cases of COVID-19 to the total for the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

There are now 19 active cases with all of new cases being obtained from someone else who had the virus.

Acadia News, in a email conversation with the Health Unit, confirms that there are now ten active cases as part of the outbreak at St. Martin School.

This comes as the Northwestern Health Unit has hit a vaccine milestone, as 90 per cent of people 12 and older have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

Ontario reported 793 new cases Friday with 470 coming from those who either have an unknown vaccination status or who are not fully vaccinated.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
