Active Case Count Jumps To 22

Another increase in the local active COVID-19 case count.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting three new cases and two resolved. This brings the active case count to 22.

One of the new cases is being recorded in a First Nations community.

Currently in the region, four people are hospitalized with the virus and one is in the ICU.

In Ontario there are another 598 cases being reported. 222 of those cases are in people who are fully vaccinated.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
