This Weekend on the Retro Lounge

Join me Sunday night at 6 for the Retro Lounge. I’ll be playing winners from the Grammy and Juno Awards, like the McKenzie brothers, Bob and Doug(Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas), who won the 1982 Juno for Best Comedy Album for The Great White North, with a song featuring Rush‘s Geddy Lee. A win for Rush too and a big win for Eric Clapton with a song about a personal loss; a weird Grammy moment with ODB involving Shawn Colvin; wins for 20-time Juno champ Bryan Adams and record 24 for Anne Murray; wins for instrumentals from The Art of Noise, Jan Hammer and Deodato; a confusing win for Jethro Tull; a Grammy take back for Milli Vanilli; new artists like Ian Thomas and Rickie Lee Jones; a top charity single wins; big wins at both awards for Sarah McLachlan and Alannah Myles; a Grammy-winning movie from 1982 and more.

The Retro Lounge is brought to you by Backstage, Thunder Bay’s newest music and accessory store at 215 Red River Road, on 99.9 The Bay.
