An annual celebration of culture, arts, music, and food returns with a drive-up format because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Festival of India is happening Saturday, July 17 at 3 p.m. from the CLE grounds.
“There will be a big stage at the CLE grounds, and in front of the stage people will park their cars,” explains organizer Dr. Prahant Jani. “Between cars there will be a distance of six feet. The audience can come, park their car, and watch the show from the stage.”
Jani goes on to discuss some of the entertainment people will be able to enjoy at the festival.
“There are three sets of artists coming from Toronto, and they will perform classical East Indian music and dances,” Jani added. “There will be dance workshops also, so if you want to learn as well, you can.”
The Festival of India has no charge to enter, and the food hampers being provided are free as well.
Anyone interested can go the the Festival of India Facebook page.
As of July 14, there are still spots available if you want to enjoy the festivities.
