The number of COVID-19 patients in intensive care has reached a new high in Ontario.
Today’s update confirmed that 851 people are now in ICUs across the province fighting COVID symptoms.
Health officials have tallied up 3,947 new cases today, which is the third day in the past week with fewer than 4,000 new positive tests.
They also reported 24 more deaths from the virus.
In the region, there are six new cases in the Northwestern Health Unit.
