Active Case Count Still Above 50

The number of active COVID-19 cases within the Thunder Bay District Health Unit remains above 50.

Officials report Wednesday the 61st death since the start of the pandemic to go along with six new cases.

52 is the new active number as compared to 54 on Tuesday.

Another seven cases have been resolved:

  • Three cases obtained through close contact
  • One case with no known exposure
  • Two case causes are pending

The Northwestern Health Unit reports 54 active cases of coronavirus with 14 new cases confirmed.

In Ontario there are 4,212 new cases along with 32 deaths.
