Money Set For Virtual Fire Inspection Program

The city is getting a virtual fire inspection program with provincial dollars.

Council Monday night approved a total of $31,200 to support the venture through the Office of the Fire Marshal and the Fire Safety Transfer Agreement.

The funds are part of a provincial announcement in March to help address the impacts of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

City documents presented to council Monday indicate that the work is already underway, and the provincial funds will help support the completion of this program.
