Active COVID Cases Rise Regionally

The daily drop in active coronavirus cases in the region has come to an end.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting the number has risen to 54 from 49 on Monday.

Officials also report Tuesday the 60th death since the start of the pandemic along with 11 new positive cases.

Another five cases have been resolved:

  • Seven cases obtained through close contact
  • One case with no known exposure
  • Three case causes are pending

In Ontario there are 3,469 new cases along with 22 deaths.
