Significant Rain Expected Monday Night

Make sure that umbrella is handy.

Environment Canada is telling us rain will continue periodically throughout Monday, but then start significantly into the evening. We can expect about 20-40mm before it gradually ends Tuesday afternoon.

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • City of Thunder Bay

Significant rainfall tonight into Tuesday.

Periods of rain will continue today and then become heavy at times this evening. An additional 20 to 40 mm are expected before the rain tapers off Tuesday afternoon.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry District office. Visit Ontario.ca/floods for the latest details.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
