Council Expected To Approve Infrastructure Work

Millions of dollars could be granted by Thunder Bay city council for infrastructure upgrades.

Monday night city staff will recommend repaving of city streets, for just over $4.7-million, awarded to Taranis Contracting.

There are a large number of residential streets, but also work on Algoma, Balmoral and other high traffic areas.

Sewer and watermain work is expected to be done on Marion Street and Huron Avenue, granted to Nadin Contracting for over $2.9-million.

And, over $2.1-million will likely be given the go-ahead for P.N.I Contracting for storm sewer work on some residential streets.

The three firms are from Thunder Bay.
