Man Stabbed, Police Looking For Attacker

Thunder Bay police need help to find an Indigenous man who they say assaulted another man.

They were called late Wednesday afternoon to the 400 block of Wentworth Crescent, in the north end.

There they found an injured man, who appeared to be the victim of a stabbing.

Police say the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, and he was sent to hospital.

Further investigation found the initial incident happened along a path in the 1000 block of Dawson Road.

Police say the man they are looking for is roughly 25-30 years old, about 5’8, and appeared to weigh about 160lbs. He wore a grey touque, grey pants and black sweater at the time.

Police add the victim and attacker did not know each other.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
