Police Bust Nets $88,000 In Street Drugs

Police have taken an estimated $88,000 worth of illegal drugs off the streets of Thunder Bay.

They report six people, five of them from Toronto, were arrested following the seizure of fentanyl and cocaine Monday.

According to police, they discovered the cache of contraband after they were sent to the Blucher Avenue area at around 8 pm to look into a disturbance.

After an investigation, they discovered the drugs at a Blucher address located near Windsor Street.

The only Thunder Bay person charged is a 39-year-old woman.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
