Get The COVID-19 Vaccine: Johnson

Get the COVID-19 vaccine when your turn comes up.

That’s the message from At Large Councillor Rebecca Johnson, who received her first dose of the Pfizer vaccine at the CLE Coliseum Friday morning.

Johnson described a number of feelings after the experience, including safety and comfort.

“The time takes approximately half an hour,” Johnson says. “It’s very organized and clean [thanks to the Thunder Bay District Health Unit]. The workers made me feel welcomed and warm through the whole time that I was there, ” Johnson said.

She also noted how important it is for people getting the vaccine to show up at the scheduled time, pointing to the health unit only letting a certain number of people inside the facility to get the vaccine, which is based on appointment time.

Johnson will receive her second required dose of the Pfizer vaccine in July.
