Active Case Count Dips To 406

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting an decrease in the number of active coronavirus cases.

Health officials report 40 new cases, which drops the active case count to 406.

Thursday’s numbers also include 58 cases that are deemed as resolved

  • 32 cases were obtained from someone else who had the virus
  • Two cases are tied to the Walford Retirement Home Outbreak
  • Two cases have no known exposure
  • Four case causes are pending

The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre reports 11 of the 41 patients that are being treated for coronavirus are in the Intensive Care Unit.

In Ontario there are 1,553 new cases and 15 deaths.
