Radio Stations Drop Singer Over N-word

A huge blow to the career of country music singer Morgan Wallen.

Reports out of the US indicate he was filmed using the N-word while with friends last weekend.

The music industry has responded with many condemning his comments, and radio stations, including Acadia Broadcasting, are dropping his songs, which include Whiskey Glasses and 7 Summers.

Wallen has sincerely apologized, adding he’s embarrassed and wishes he could take it back.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
