Hospital To Press For More Vaccine

The COVID vaccine rollout continues in the city.

Officials at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre say as of yesterday over 900 people have been inoculated.

They say the majority have been workers in long-term care homes, and front-line health care workers in the hospital who will continue to be the priority.

Second doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be administered starting this week.

It is expected all local long-term care workers will have received the vaccine by mid-February.

Hospital officials add they will be getting more doses later this month and will be pressing to get larger quantities moving forward.
