SIJHL Commissioner Talks Ontario Lockdown

The province-wide lock down might not have an impact on local hockey.

That statement from SIJHL Commissioner Darrin Nicholas following Monday’s developments that the province is instituting the restrictions starting at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday December 26th.

In a statement, Nicholas says there doesn’t appear to be any barriers to having the players returning to their communities as the plan all along was to isolate them before resuming the season.

The league is now trying to navigate whether the lock down will affect building availability for the proposed January 11th re-start date.
