Virus Claims Another Life, 14 New Cases Regionally

More distressing news for a long-term care home in fighting COVID-19, and the region’s active case load.

Southbridge Roseview says another resident has passed away from COVID-19, bringing the death count to 14. There are currently 14 active cases, and eight staff members battling the virus.

Meanwhile, Thunder Bay District’s Health unit adds another 14 people have been diagnosed Tuesday, which brings the active case count regionally to 98.

Yesterday, it dropped to below 100.

13 got the virus from being around someone else who has it, the other case is pending, and all are from Thunder Bay and surrounding areas.

There are no active cases in the hospital.

In Ontario, there are over 2,200 new cases and 21 deaths.
