After 16 years as president and CEO of St. Joseph’s Care Group in Thunder Bay, Tracy Buckler is retiring.
Buckler tells us it has been most satisfying to oversee the care for those who are most vulnerable in the community.
“I think the fact we continued to focus on the people that we’re here for is the most important thing to me, it’s always been my drive and my reason for doing what I do regardless of what position I might hold,” says Buckler.
She is leaving with no regrets emphasizing ” I don’t live with regrets I live with honesty and openness and transparency and telling the truth even when it’s not the best news.”
“In her 16 years as President & CEO, Tracy Buckler has led St. Joseph’s Care Group through tremendous
growth and change,” according to Bishop Fred Colli, Chair of St. Joseph’s Care Group’s Board of Directors.
“Through more than a decade of capital projects and multiple health system changes, the fact that St. Joseph’s Care Group is known for its compassionate organizational culture and reputation for excellence in care is a testament to Tracy’s leadership.”
Buckler expects to formally retire by next summer.
