COVID ‘Outbreak’ At The Walford

A northside retirement complex has been hit with COVID-19.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit tells us a staff member at The Walford Thunder Bay on Pine Street and Red River Road has contracted the virus.

Under provincial rules only one case of the coronavirus in a staff member or resident of a retirement home constitutes an outbreak.

Health officials say there is no indication the virus has spread through the facility.
