There is no shortage of twists and turns when it comes to American politics these days.
We start in Michigan, where a plot has be foiled by authorities to kidnap the governor, Democrat Gretchen Whitmer. She says the 13 men who planned this were possibly going to kill her. She also blamed President Donald Trump for fanning the flames of racism for not condemning certain groups.
Speaking of Trump, it appears he’s saying he won’t take part in the next presidential debate with Democrat Joe Biden, which is to be done virtually. He’s saying he’ll be doing a rally instead.
Still in Washington, we could see House Speaker Nancy Pelosi use the 25th amendment today, in an effort to remove Trump for office. That amendment would need Congress approval based on the president being unfit for office, however, Pelosi would need the vice president to agree, and that is unlikely.
