Toronto Man Breaches Court Conditions

A Toronto man is back in custody for breaching court conditions.

The 27 year old was picked up around 1:15 a.m. Sunday at an apartment building on McLaughlin Street near Pacific Avenue and McIntosh Street.

The suspect was under conditions not to be in Thunder Bay and not to possess weapons. Those conditions stem from previous firearm-related charges in 2019.

The man is charged with:

  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon
  • Possession of a Firearm with Knowledge its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Tamper with Serial Number of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number Has Been Tampered
  • Obstruct Peace Officer
  • Failure to Comply with a Judicial Release

He’ll be back in court at a later date.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
