No Injuries After Two Separate Fires

It’s been a busy 24 hours for Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue.

Last night around midnight, they were called to a home on John Street, near Balmoral, to find a fire which they kept to the second floor. It was quickly put out.

The fire department adds smoke alarms may be the reason everyone out safely, although they were checked over by paramedics as a precaution.

The cause is not known.

Yesterday morning at around 10:30, there was a fire on the roof of Superior Elevator. Fire crews kept it controlled where it was found in the dust filtration system of the pellet plant.

No injuries, and no cause given yet.
