Businesses Working Hard To Reopen: Chamber

Many businesses are working on reopening now that the provincial government has announced Stage 3 is on its way.

Chamber of Commerce President Charla Robinson expects each business will have to look at what reopening means to them.

“Figure out what the rules are and how they apply to their sector. As customers, we also have to learn the rules,” Robinson said.

Robinson admits there will be lots of work to be done by businesses just so they can reopen starting Friday.

“I want to encourage everyone to follow the rules and get out there and finally support those businesses that are finally able to reopen,” Robinson noted.

Some of the businesses in our region reopening on Friday include bars and restaurants, movie theatres, gyms, and casinos.

The size of gatherings is also being increased to 100 for outdoor events and 50 for indoor activities.
