There won’t be a city-wide food bank going forward.
However, they’ll still be working with each other to ensure no one goes hungry according to the RFDA’s Volker Kromm.
“211 will guide you through the process of finding the closest and most convenient food bank, we are trying to get them matched up with a food bank that is in their neighbourhood,” Kromm said.
Volunteers for the five individual food banks operating next week have been trained in relation to COVID-19.
Starting next week there will be five food banks operating on their own with matched people from 211.
