Protests Growing More Violent Over Man’s Death

The number of violent protests across the US are growing following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

The unarmed man was held down by police, in a video which showed him struggling to breath, and he later died.

The protests resulted in the burning down of a police station last night in Minneapolis, as well as fires were set all over the city.

President Donald Trump is calling the protesters thugs and lays the blame on Minneapolis’ Mayor for the riots. The President tweeted that if the mayor didn’t get his act together and restore order, he would send in the National Guard and get the job done right. Minnesota’s Governor Tim Walz called in the state’s National Guard to protect peaceful demonstrators.

This story has gone international, and an entire CNN news crew was arrested while reporting live from a closed off street, they were later released.

Meanwhile, in Kentucky, more people have been killed in shootings in Louisville.
