Today is National Nurses Day, and athletes have been honouring our healthcare workers in an awesome way.
The Real Heroes Project is an initiative between over a dozen sports leagues to celebrate healthcare workers who are on the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic. Tonnes of athletes taking to social media and dedicating their jerseys/uniforms to a special healthcare hero who is helping battle this crisis. You can thank a hero of your own, using the hashtag #TheRealHeroes
Check out several below, of course we have to start out with The Great One! (Also, YES, wrestlers are athletes!)

Dr. Shannon, you are the real deal! Having men like you on the frontlines gives us all hope. On behalf of @WWE, thank you for your hard work and selflessness. Show your appreciation to the healthcare heroes in your community by making your own “jersey” for these #TheRealHeroes. pic.twitter.com/WpQauKb86I
