If you’re hoping to host a yard sale as the weather warms up, the Health Unit says this isn’t the time.
The District Health Unit posted on social media reminding you that yard sales and garage sales are considered public gatherings. They say these are non-essential services that encourage people to gather, and handling cash and used goods can transfer diseases like COVID-19.
They say you should hold off until the province’s emergency order ends. Health unit officials add that even once provincial restrictions on gatherings are lifted, it’s hard to say when things like garage sales will be allowed.
