The tenants of a home on Banning Street escaped injury following a kitchen fire.
Fire officials say it happened around 7:45 on Tuesday morning.
They say heavy smoke was seen coming from the rear of the home when crews arrived.
It was quickly extinguished once firefighters were able to get into the house.
The occupants were examined at the scene by paramedics as a precaution and later released.
The cause is under investigation.
